Conditions of Hire Members Only

Contract of hire

The hiring contract shall be between Vale Swim (the operator) and the lead person who makes the booking and shall deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire. Unauthorised use of the facilities is not permitted. Each booking is accepted on the understanding that all visitors acknowledge adherence to these rules and conditions of hire.

Safety

No lifeguard is provided.
CCTV is not monitored.
Anyone using the facilities does so at their own risk.
There must always be a responsible/competent adult swimmer present when children are present. Adults must be able to care for children in the event that an adult has an accident.
Adults in the group must have a mobile phone to contact emergency services if required, as the owners may not always be available.
Users have a duty of care for their guests.
Users can view a copy of the Pool Operating Instructions, which outlines the risk factors and safety procedures pinned to the notice board.
Maximum of 8 in the pool at any one time.
No Diving into pool. (Max depth of the pool 1.2m)
In the event of an accident or incident, please notify the owners, so that a record can be made in the accident book.
Do not allow a person within the group who may have a contagious illness to swim.
No unauthorised access to the plant room or store at the side of the building.

No Alcohol

No food.

Maximum of 8 swimmers and 4 Spectators

Loss and Injury

The owners of Vale Swim will not be held liable for any injury, illness, accident or loss or damage to property, however caused, directly or indirectly in or out of the Bathing Pool.

Children Under 4 years

All children who need nappies or at risk of a "toilet accident" have to wear a disposable swim nappy and neoprene over nappy

Used nappies to be taken home by carers.

Additional Terms

Only responsible persons over the age of 18 years can book the pool.
The proprietors retain the right to cancel a session without notice.
Strictly no smoking in or around the premises.
No sub-letting.
Individuals or groups can be refused bookings for non-compliance with these terms.

Consideration

Members are kindly requested to leave the facilities as they find them.
The allotted session includes time for changing. Please clear the building by the end of your session time.
No outdoor footwear is allowed into the changing room or around the pool.
Shower before entering the pool as this reduces the need for extra chemicals in the pool.
The pool is sited in a residential area and due consideration should be given to our neighbours.
Please park only in the allocated spaces – which in front of the house.

Lone swimmers

We actively discourage lone swimmers from using the pool. However, in exceptional circumstances, being reassured that they fully accept the risks; there being, no lifeguard or monitored video surveillance and that there is no-one to come to their aid, should they get into difficulties, we allow exceptions on this understanding.

Subscription

A membership subscription is required to book sessions, you may cancel at anytime and continue to book sessions until the renewal date (1 year).  There are no refunds on the subscription.

Refunds and Cancellations

Booked Sessions can be refunded if notified at least one week in advance of the session. You can reschedule your booking upto 72 hours before the start of your session. Cancellations within the 72 hour period will not be moved as there is insufficient time to allow the session to be used by someone else. 

Damage

The hirer is responsible for any costs incurred from damages incurred by them or any member of their party.

Membership

Vale Swim reserve the right to cancel membership at anytime without notice
